In the film, astronaut Pham Tuan recounted memories of the process of selecting and training pilots under the Intercosmos cooperation program between Vietnam and the Soviet Union more than 40 years ago.

According to a VNA reporter in Moscow, on April 29, Russia's Russia-24 TV channel premiered a documentary titled “Weightless Weight” referring to Russia's international aerospace cooperation, including Vietnam.
30-minute film by Aleksandr Rogatkin - famous Russian television journalist, who has made more than 100 documentaries and special reports on various topics.
The film is a collection of exclusive interviews with the first Syrian cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union Muhammed Faris, the first Vietnamese cosmonaut, Hero Pham Tuan; the first Afghan cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union Abdul Ahad Mohmand; the first Indian cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union Rakesh Sharma, and Russian aerospace experts such as pilot-cosmonaut Aleksandr Aleksandrov, who twice received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and Academician of the Russian Academy of Cosmonautics Igor Marinin.
In the film, astronaut Pham Tuan recounted memories of the process of selecting and training pilots under the Intercosmos cooperation program between Vietnam and the Soviet Union more than 40 years ago, his feelings when flying into space in a zero-gravity environment, especially the emotional feeling when seeing the Fatherland of Vietnam from space... All the proud, sacred and meaningful emotions are still clear in the memory of the Vietnamese hero.
Astronaut Pham Tuan highly appreciated the assistance of the Soviet Union and its people to Vietnam during the resistance war against the US, as well as the close cooperation between the two countries in peacetime, including in the field of aerospace.
Hero Pham Tuan emphasized that his flight with Russian astronaut Viktor Vasilyevich Gorbatko had two important meanings.
Firstly, the scientific significance lies in the fact that the Vietnamese have discovered a new field for themselves - the field of space science. The Vietnamese are not only good at defending the country during war, but when conditions are favorable, Vietnam is ready to join other countries in pioneering the newest and most modern fields of science. That is the national identity of the Vietnamese people. The Vietnamese flag has been planted in space, side by side with the great powers of the five continents, which has a particularly important meaning.
Second, it is to strengthen the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and the Soviet Union. During wartime, the Soviet Union helped Vietnam on land, at sea and in the air, and in peacetime, it flew into space with Vietnam, clearly demonstrating the great friendship and solidarity of the people of the two countries in the new era.
Documentary “Weightless Weight” re-broadcast many times at different times on Russia-24 channel from April 29 to May 1.
At the end of the film, Russia-24 channel sent thanks to the Vietnam Aerospace Association (VASA), Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper "Nhan Dan" and the VNA's Moscow office for their support in completing the film.
Russia-24 TV channel, owned by the VGTRK Television, Radio and Internet Company, is currently ranked No. 1 in Russia with a total coverage of 99% of the Russian population.
