According to Rostec, Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the acceleration of production to ensure Moscow achieves the goals of the “special military operation” in Ukraine, in the context of the West providing billions of dollars worth of weapons to Kiev, as well as imposing unprecedented sanctions on the Russian economy.

G7 issued a joint statement urging China to do this. Mr. Bekhan Ozdoev, an official of Rostec, revealed that the production volume of weapons has increased from 2 to 10 times, with a significant increase in the production of tanks, armored vehicles, missile launchers, artillery, Iskander short-range ballistic missiles, Pantsir medium-range surface-to-air missile systems and Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. However, the total production of weapons has not been announced yet.
On the same day, Mr. Vladislav Lobaev, head of the Lobaev Arms company, announced that Russia has begun testing a supersonic sniper bullet capable of reaching speeds of more than 1,500 meters per second in the future.
“Lobaev Arms continues to develop and begin testing hypersonic ammunition. The company is testing its speed and accuracy,” he revealed. Lobaev Arms explained that the ammunition is called “hypersonic”, because it is currently only close to hypersonic speed.
“We can produce sub-hypersonic or hypersonic ammunition. We will make this decision based on the results of the tests, when the mass production volume is determined,” the weapons expert added.
According to Mr. Lobaev, the company previously suspended the hypersonic project due to the need to increase mass production of weapons under state orders, but now this work has resumed as Ukraine began to actively use the new 10x100 mm ammunition on the battlefield.
Lobaev Arms Company, headquartered in Tarusa, Kaluga (Russia), specializes in the production of civilian and service sniper weapons, becoming the first private defense enterprise in Russian history.
