Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai, Director of Tu Du Hospital - who directly assisted in this delivery - said that on New Year's Eve, there were about 30 pregnant women due to give birth at the hospital. More than 50% of them were pregnant women from provinces such as Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, and Ca Mau …
Earlier, on the 28th day of the Lunar New Year, a pregnant woman with severe placenta previa was transferred to Tu Du Hospital. Doctors had to perform emergency surgery lasting many hours, and the mother lost more than 3,000ml of blood. Ultimately, the doctors' efforts ensured the safety of both mother and child before the New Year.
