Railway industry prioritizes clearing congested freight trains

Due to the fact that the Dieu Tri – Nha Trang section still has many locations that must run slowly to ensure safety, passenger trains passing through this area are often delayed for 5-6 hours. To prioritize the release of congested freight trains along the route and ensure the safety of the entire network, the railway industry continues to adjust the North-South Thong Nhat train schedule.

Accordingly, SE21/SE22 will stop running from November 28 to November 30; SE5 will stop running from November 28 to November 30; SE6 will stop running from November 28 to December 1.

Currently, the railway industry is urgently working to restore normal train operations soon.

At 12 noon on November 27, the Vietnam Railway Authority and Vietnam Railway Corporation directly directed units at the scene to urgently fix the landslide, clear obstacles, and ensure train traffic in the fastest time.

Agencies and units assign people to monitor, inspect and regularly report on developments; organize inspections of bridge and road status and carry out repairs when incidents occur.

By 20:30 on November 25, 2025, trains had been opened on the entire North-South Reunification Railway. However, there were still some locations that had to run slowly from 5 - 15 km/h.
