The above is the sharing of Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice President of Hanoi University on the sidelines of the "Job Fair 2025", which took place this morning (November 12).
According to Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, it is completely wrong to say that the social sector is “inferior” to the economic and banking sectors. Many professions that seem rare are actually “rare”, with many students being recruited right in their third year of study.

Recruiters "headache"
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Giang, Tourism Manager of TTB Tourism Company, the notion that social sectors have difficulty finding jobs and have low incomes is completely wrong.
Currently, this company is very short of human resources related to French and German, even all the students who have graduated are recruited. "The fields related to the rare languages above are always a headache for the recruiting units", Ms. Giang said.
According to Ms. Giang, the positions that are in great need at this unit are French tour guides and operating system staff.
Sharing about the salary of human resources in the social sector, Ms. Giang said that in any profession, salary payment depends on the capacity of the human resources. Saying so is not without exceptions because there are industries, just by hearing the name, you know the salary is very high such as operating system staff...
Predicting that social work-related professions will be in high demand in the near future, Ms. Giang said that in the tourism sector alone, there will still be a lot of room for recruitment in the next 10 years.
Among them, languages such as Chinese, Korean, French, German, Italian, Russian, etc., are all lacking in human resources because these are difficult languages, the investment in learning is quite expensive, so few people learn them.

Human resources for languages such as French, Italian, Russian, Portuguese... are still in great shortage (Photo: My Ha).
With a similar opinion, Mr. Do Quang Duong, Head of Marketing Department, Viet Horizon International Travel Company, said that for students studying language majors, there are many opportunities in the tourism industry.
Jobs that attract a large workforce such as: Office staff, sales staff, executive staff, etc., and have high incomes compared to the general level because in addition to salary there are also bonuses.
The salary for sales staff in some large enterprises is about 1,000 USD/month; for executive staff is about 500 USD or more/person. “In fact, we have even seen sales staff in this field with a salary of about 5,000 USD/month,” he said.
According to Mr. Duong, this unit is lacking human resources in the French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese markets. These are quite rare languages, few people learn them and some students choose to pursue other careers after graduation, so travel companies cannot recruit enough.
"We are constantly recruiting but are still in need of human resources in the above languages. Especially with the policy of promoting tourism, many units are offering very high salaries to attract talent, so you don't have to worry about lack of jobs," said Mr. Duong.

Schools are no longer academic "ivory towers"
Responding to Dan Tri reporter, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung said that schools are no longer ivory towers of academics. Instead, training must be linked to recruitment.
The interaction between schools and recruitment agencies during the teaching process will be a launching pad to help students easily access and penetrate the labor market after leaving school.
Thanks to that, students can learn more soft skills such as: critical thinking, adaptability skills or teamwork, etc., to be more suitable after graduation.
“Instead of just focusing on academics, students can apply the knowledge and skills they learn at school to serve society. In return, employers also have the opportunity to approach and learn about students’ needs to recruit suitable human resources,” said Mr. Dung.
According to Mr. Dung, many professions related to social subjects have high employment rates such as communications, languages, etc. In particular, there are languages that are thought to be rare but are actually "rare" such as: German, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, etc. Even many students in their third year have been "ordered" for recruitment.
Sharing about upcoming career trends for the social sector, Mr. Dung said that although it is impossible to predict which industries will be "sought after" in the future, no matter what field of career, social, economic, or technical, opportunities are open if you have the ability.
Dr. Dung also said that in the digital age, society develops very rapidly, so schools must constantly change their curriculum and apply technology in training to meet the needs of learners.
In particular, every 2 years, the school must change the training curriculum, and consult with recruiting units so that this adjustment is practical.
