According to the report presented at the conference, in 2025, the Department of Construction will complete the merger process, and the new organizational structure will operate smoothly, continuously, and effectively.

From July 1st, 2025 to the present, the Department of Construction has received 21,835 applications for administrative procedures, of which 21,825 have been processed on time or ahead of schedule (nearly 100%), and 5 applications are overdue (0.006%).

The construction sector implements many key tasks of the city, from planning, public investment, transportation, technical infrastructure, social housing, to digital transformation and smart cities.

The construction sector grew to a value of VND 90,742 billion, an increase of 25.6%, while transportation activities were estimated at VND 55,114 billion, an increase of 13.7%. The work to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses was completed, with 7,511 houses finished two months ahead of schedule, and 2,907 social housing units put into use (achieving 108% of the 2025 target of 2,676 units). Traffic accidents in the city decreased significantly across all three criteria compared to the same period last year.

Disbursement of public investment capital reached 90% of the plan, including 95% for city capital and 82% for Ministry of Construction capital for the National Highway 14B project, expected to reach 100% by January 31, 2026.

The sector carried out over 75 maintenance and repair projects with a total cost of approximately 350 billion VND; and addressed the consequences of natural disasters on 23 roads, with a total cost of approximately 228 billion VND.

In 2026, the Department of Construction has set a goal of continuing to improve the leadership capacity, fighting spirit, and quality of its staff, civil servants, and employees throughout the entire sector.

The Department continues to refine standards to help Da Nang soon become a smart city; effectively implement important resolutions of the Central Government and specific mechanisms and policies, focusing on removing obstacles and difficulties, unlocking investment resources to achieve breakthrough economic growth; and effectively implement national target programs, ensuring social security...

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Quang Nam highly appreciated the achievements of the city's construction sector during the year, and at the same time requested the continued effective operation of the two-tiered local government system, with "clear responsibilities, clear tasks, clear authority, clear deadlines, and clear results"; decentralization must go hand in hand with control and support.

The construction sector needs to focus on removing bottlenecks in planning, infrastructure, and transportation; planning should not only be for the sake of having sufficient documentation, but also possess a vision and leave enough room for long-term development.

Further accelerate digital transformation, but it must be linked to tangible results, serving the people, businesses, and management; build a team of capable officials who dare to take responsibility and make decisions within the framework of the law.
