In agricultural production, the whole commune recorded more than 30 hectares of flooded crops, mainly durian, jackfruit, apricot, yellow bell and vegetables in the hamlets: Kinh B, 9A, Dong Binh, Thanh Dong, Thanh Tay, Tan Thanh, Da Noi A and Kinh 9B. Some households suffered heavy damage due to broken dikes, prolonged flooding, especially in Dong Binh hamlet where about 5 hectares of durian, jackfruit and guava gardens were completely flooded. Many households are urgently pumping to drain water and reinforce the embankment.

Faced with the local flooding situation, the Economic Department and the hamlet leaders regularly monitor the water level and proactively mobilize local forces and materials to promptly remedy the situation. Mr. Nguyen Minh Lanh, Head of the Economic Department of Tan Hiep Commune, said: "The Department surveys flooded schools to upgrade yards and fences to minimize the impact on students' learning. At the same time, the Department encourages people to reinforce their houses and barns, protect crops and livestock, and limit damage when heavy rains combined with high tides continue to rise."
