National Great Unity Day in Dai Thanh village, Ham Kiem commune

Attending the festival were comrade Nguyen Van Loi - Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; representatives of the Party Committee, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Kiem commune, departments, unions and people in the village.

Dai Thanh village currently has 774 households with 2,942 people, of which 90% of the people live on farming. The whole village has 3 limited liability companies specializing in trading and exporting dragon fruit and many small and retail businesses. The average income per capita reaches 57 million VND/person/year. Thanks to preferential loans from the government and banks, many households in Dai Thanh village have boldly invested in production and business, rising out of poverty. Up to now, the whole village has only 4 poor households, accounting for 0.52% and 30 near-poor households, accounting for 3.87%.

The solidarity movements, building cultural life and protecting security were effectively implemented. Last year, the locality supported the construction and repair of 5 houses for poor households with a budget of 180 million VND. During the flood, more than 600 gifts and 1,000 meals were given to 320 flood-affected households, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love.

In the coming time, Dai Thanh village will continue to promote the strength of national solidarity. Strengthen mass mobilization, administrative reform and digital transformation. Focus on economic development associated with environmental protection, poverty reduction, job creation and social security. At the same time, pay attention to developing culture, education, health care, and caring for the disadvantaged. Promote patriotic emulation movements, maintain security and order and build a strong political system.

Speaking at the festival, comrade Nguyen Van Loi, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, requested the locality to continue improving the quality of building advanced models. Mobilizing people to develop production, enrich legitimately, reduce poverty sustainably and build new-style rural areas. Localities need to proactively adapt to the 2-level government model. Strengthen coordination between the Front and mass organizations in propaganda, supervision and social criticism. At the same time, promote digital transformation in residential areas, guide people to use online public services, cashless payments and Zalo community applications. Along with that, consolidate self-management models, enhance responsibility for maintaining security and order, protecting the environment, contributing to building increasingly civilized and sustainable developing communes.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, comrade Nguyen Van Loi presented 15 gifts to poor households. Ham Kiem Commune Party Committee and People's Committee presented 3 gifts; Dai Thanh village, benefactors presented 30 gifts of necessities to near-poor and disadvantaged families.
