The "Vietnam Happy Fest 2025" officially opens.

The Vietnam Happy Day 2025 is a reminder that the happiness of the Vietnamese people is built on peace, on the will to overcome difficulties, on the spirit of solidarity, and on the simple things that make up the Vietnamese cultural identity.

A mass wedding ceremony for 80 couples was held at the festival.

On December 6th, the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Happy Day 2025 took place at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, marking the beginning of a meaningful three-day journey to spread and share happiness.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee, Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh stated: "2025 marks a very proud milestone for Vietnam in the field of happiness. We have risen to 46th place globally in the global happiness index report, an increase of 8 places compared to the previous year."

This is a recognition of the efforts of the Party and the State, and the entire people in creating a safe and humane environment. Above all, it reflects the optimistic and compassionate spirit of the Vietnamese people; the aspiration for unity and solidarity of millions of Vietnamese people in moving towards a prosperous, thriving, and loving future.

According to Mr. Le Hai Binh, the Happy Vietnam Festival was created as a journey of diverse and enriching experiences. This year's event space is organized around Ho Guom Lake, with 13 experiential points designed to represent 13 emotional rhythms in the soul of each person who comes to experience it on the weekend. These include the Happy Vietnam exhibition, a digital interactive space, an art photobooth, a lens of happiness, a map of happiness, and outdoor activities because health is happiness and aspirations for a happy tomorrow.

In particular, at the Ly Thai To monument area, there will be a "Tree of Happiness," where all your wishes and dreams will be accepted. Besides honoring the cause, with the story of happiness being about sharing, we have the opportunity to share our hearts with Central Vietnam and other disadvantaged regions of the country. A special activity that will attract attention is the mass wedding ceremony of 80 couples with the theme "Love is happiness and happiness is also love."

The joy of these 80 couples today symbolizes 80 years of independence, freedom, and happiness for the nation. Among them are young couples just beginning their journey into happiness, but also couples who have been together, holding hands for 15, 20, and even 30 years. They are a vivid example of how happiness is not a miracle, but rather a lasting understanding and sharing that endures day after day…

The 2025 Happy Vietnam Day serves as a foundation for Vietnam to move towards establishing an annual Happy Vietnam Day, a special occasion. It serves as a reminder that the happiness of the Vietnamese people is built upon peace and the well-being of the Vietnamese people; upon the love and compassion of each individual; upon the will to overcome difficulties and the spirit of solidarity; and upon the simple things that make up the unique cultural identity of Vietnam.
