Based on the developments in global oil prices over the past week, many predict that domestic fuel prices are likely to continue to rise slightly.
Specifically, RON95 gasoline could increase by approximately 130 VND/liter; E5 RON92 gasoline by approximately 100 VND/liter; fuel oil by 470 VND/kg; kerosene by 80 VND/liter; and diesel fuel by approximately 80 VND/liter.
The Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI), a subsidiary of Petrovietnam Group, also forecasts that tomorrow's E5 RON92 gasoline price will increase by 100 VND (0.5%) to 18,430 VND/liter and RON95 gasoline will increase by 40 VND (0.2%) to 18,880 VND/liter. Kerosene prices may increase by 220 VND (1.2%) to 18,390 VND/liter, diesel prices by 280 VND (1.5%) to 18,450 VND/liter, while mazut prices are predicted to increase sharply by 520 VND (3.6%) to 15,150 VND/kg.
Previously, in the price adjustment on the afternoon of February 5th, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 100 VND/liter, not exceeding 18,439 VND/liter. The price of RON95 gasoline increased by 35 VND/liter, not exceeding 18,880 VND/liter. The price of diesel increased by 280 VND/liter, not exceeding 18,453 VND/liter. The price of kerosene increased by 214 VND/liter, not exceeding 18,390 VND/liter, and mazut increased by 517 VND/kg, not exceeding 15,150 VND/kg.
Since the beginning of 2026, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 5 adjustments, including 2 decreases and 3 increases.
February 12th will be the last fuel price adjustment before the Lunar New Year holiday in 2026. The next adjustment (February 19th) falls on the third day of the Lunar New Year and will be adjusted by the regulatory agency in accordance with regulations.
