(Dan Tri) - It is forecasted that in the early morning of December 3, cold air will affect the North, with some places in the high mountainous areas of the North experiencing severe cold, with temperatures possibly below 11 degrees Celsius.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on December 2, a cold air mass in the North is moving south.

It is forecasted that by the morning of December 3, cold air will affect the Northeast region, then affect the North Central region, the Northwest region and the North of the Central Central region.

From the night of December 3, the North and North Central regions will be cold; some mountainous areas in the North will be very cold.

The lowest temperature during this cold air mass in the North is commonly 14-17 degrees Celsius; in the mountainous areas of the North 13-15 degrees Celsius, in some high mountainous areas below 11 degrees Celsius; in the North Central region 14-17 degrees Celsius.

The Hydrometeorological Agency said that due to the strengthening of cold air combined with the weakening of low pressure circulation from storm No. 15 and disturbances of easterly winds in the upper atmosphere, from the night of December 2 to 5, the Quang Tri - Da Nang area, the eastern part of Quang Ngai - Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces will have widespread moderate to heavy rain.

On December 2, the area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang, the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa will have rain and showers in some places.

It is forecasted that from tonight until the end of December 3, the Hue, Da Nang areas and the eastern part of Quang Ngai - Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall of 40-100mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm.

On the night of December 3 and December 4, the Quang Tri - Da Nang area and the East of Quang Ngai province will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall of 40-80mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm. Warning of risk of heavy rain over 100mm/3 hours.

It is forecasted that from the night of December 4, heavy rain in the area from Quang Tri to Da Nang and the east of Quang Ngai province will tend to decrease.
