The fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day carries three messages, expressing the practical value that books bring to individuals, families, communities and the country: "Reading culture - Connecting communities", "Entering the era of national growth with books", "Reading books - enriching knowledge, nurturing aspirations, promoting innovation and creativity".

Joining his family in reading culture activities in recent days, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan (Thanh Xuan district) shared: "Each location gives us different experiences, from pride in national traditions through the pages of books to joy when accessing new knowledge with modern, convenient reading forms. Reading becomes interesting, helping people expand their knowledge". Bui Khanh Phuong, a student of Nam Tu Liem Secondary School, Hanoi City Reading Culture Ambassador in 2024, shared that thanks to reading culture development activities and the Reading Culture Ambassador contest, the young generation has had the opportunity to access good books, discover the profound values in each book, thereby adding a solid foundation for the future.

Sharing the same view, Director of the Hanoi Cultural and Library Center (Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports) Tran Tuan Anh commented that in recent years, developing a reading culture has become the capital's cultural strategy, mobilizing the participation of not only the publishing, distribution, and library sectors but also all levels, sectors, and the majority of people, creating a clear change. Reading promotion activities have stimulated each individual to proactively seek out books and apply modern reading methods. This is the foundation for building a learning society, contributing to creating the intellectual strength of the entire nation entering a new era.

Director of the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Nguyen Nguyen said that each year the publishing industry consumes about 550 million copies of books in all forms, always ranking among the top in Southeast Asia. The entire industry has made efforts to bring new works closer to the public, especially young people and potential readers, through promoting digital transformation of the publishing industry and many other modern media channels. This change helps to improve the effectiveness of promotion and boost revenue. Thanks to that, publishing contributes to building the image of the creative industry in Vietnam. Books become a driving force to stimulate the desire for innovation and creativity in each person and the whole nation.
