Clearly define tourism products

Head of the Department of Tourism Resources Management and Development under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An) Hoang Minh Thanh informed that recently, the Department has organized 3 surveys with the participation of experts and travel businesses. The survey team has worked with nearly 20 key tourism communes and wards in the province. Through the survey, it shows that tourism resources in the localities are very diverse and attractive.

Not only does it have beautiful, green natural landscapes, a system of relic sites, spiritual areas, peaceful temples and pagodas, with massive historical sediments... Many localities also preserve customs, folk songs, folk dances, traditional crafts, culinary culture, costumes, traditional house architecture... bearing the unique cultural features of Nghe An.

Some localities include Kim Lien commune, Van An commune, Dai Hue commune with tourist attractions: Kim Lien special national historical site, Phan Boi Chau special national historical site, Mai Hac De King Temple special national historical site, Dai Tue pagoda...; Cua Lo ward with Lo Son pagoda, Nguyen Su Hoi temple, seafood market, Vinpearl Cua Hoi entertainment complex, Cua Lo golf course...; Do Luong commune, Bach Ha commune, Bach Ngoc commune with outstanding tourist attractions such as Truong Bon, Tru Son clay pot craft village, Qua Son Temple, Ba But Pagoda, Do Luong Legend...

Those are the foundations that create favorable momentum for forming and building, combining and developing many tourism products such as cultural - spiritual tourism, eco-tourism, community tourism, agricultural tourism, resort tourism and experiential education.

Forming stable tour routes, removing bottlenecks

Along with building unique tourism products, Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is also making efforts to build highlight tours. The goal is to develop comprehensive tourism, remove bottlenecks in seasonal tourism, low-season tourism, and further stimulate demand so that the tourism industry can have new breakthroughs in the coming time.

Through a survey of tourism development in localities in the province, many travel businesses have highly appreciated the tourism potential as well as the ability to form regional and product-linked tourism routes and tours.

At the conference to introduce tourism products and tours in Nghe An province in 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An also requested to consider focusing, shaping and building tours such as: Phu Quy cluster (Nghia Loc, Nghia Dan, Thai Hoa): TH farm - Hon Mat - Flower valley - Truong Gia Trang - Lang Vac; Do Luong cluster (Do Luong, Bach Ha, Bach Ngoc): Truong Bon - Tru Son - Qua Son - Do Luong Legend; Con Cuong - Mon Son cluster: Pu Mat National Park office - Pu Mat medicinal herbs - Kem waterfall - Giang river - Mon Son - Nua village / Khe Ran.

Although there are many advantages for developing tourism and tourism products, through surveys from communes and key tourist areas in the province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province said that there are still many limitations and difficulties. Typically, the quality of services is not high, there is no in-depth investment, and it has not attracted tourists.

Building stable tours and tourist routes is necessary to maximize and effectively exploit available potential as well as meet the needs of tourists when coming to Nghe An.

The attractiveness and diversity of tourist experiences are still limited, especially the organization of activities to experience the daily life and production of the people. Craft villages are not really attractive, not connecting the creation of economic values ​​with tourism development, and do not have special souvenir products.

Homestay models are still small in scale and not yet qualified to receive a large number of tourists. The infrastructure system serving tourists has not yet met the needs of tourism development. Facilities have not been invested synchronously such as: parking lots, reception areas, toilets do not meet the requirements, etc.

Tourism in general and ecotourism and community tourism in Nghe An are affected by the seasonal nature of agricultural products and natural conditions, harsh weather and climate. Many models are still stuck with land procedures, construction permits when building accommodation facilities, works serving tourists, etc.

“To promote tourism potential and strengths, build high-quality destinations, attract tourists and develop sustainable tourism in the coming time, it is necessary to plan priority areas, develop eco-tourism and community tourism. Promote the creation of tourism products typical of the regions.

Focus on developing tourism human resources, especially the team of tour guides at the site and the local community in terms of expertise, professionalism, foreign language proficiency and communication and behavioral skills. To increase revenue from tourists, in addition to diversifying tourism products, it is necessary to focus on investing in and developing souvenirs and local products; diversifying the designs of goods and services to suit the tastes of tourists.
