Nghe An earns nearly 500 billion VND from tourism during Lunar New Year

(Dan Tri) - Statistics from Nghe An Department of Tourism show that during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025, this province earned nearly 500 billion VND from tourism .

On February 3, the Department of Tourism of Nghe An province said that during the Lunar New Year 2025, the cool and rainless weather has created favorable conditions for local tourism activities.

Thanks to ideal weather conditions, many tourist attractions and temples in Nghe An have attracted a large number of visitors during the Tet holiday.

During the 9-day Tet holiday (from December 26 to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), Nghe An welcomed about 430,000 visitors.

Of these, the number of overnight visitors reached 138,000. On the last day of the holiday (February 2), tourist attractions welcomed more than 80,000 visitors. Total tourism revenue during the 9-day Tet holiday reached more than VND479 billion.

Outstanding tourist attractions that attract a large number of visitors include: Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, Ong Hoang Muoi Temple (Hung Nguyen District), Con Temple (Hoang Mai Town), Dai Tue Pagoda (Nam Dan), Emperor Quang Trung Temple (Vinh City)...

To ensure compliance with the law in tourism business activities, the Nghe An Department of Tourism Inspectorate coordinated with the Foreign Security Department of Nghe An Provincial Police to inspect many tourist attractions in the area.

Through the inspection, the delegation requested tourist destinations to strengthen security, order, environmental sanitation and safety for tourists.
