In 2025, Navigos Group published the "Salary and Labor Market Report " based on a survey of more than 3,400 candidates and 500 multinational enterprises in Vietnam.
According to the report, most businesses remain cautious despite the trend of increasing recruitment. Specifically, only 37.36% of businesses plan to increase staff by less than 10%, while 29.81% plan to increase from 10% to less than 20%.
Regarding recruitment priorities, businesses focus on personnel with 1-3 years and 3-5 years of experience. The most recruited positions are in the fields of business/sales (59.43%), production (33.02%) and customer service (24.34%).
Businesses also prioritize personnel with problem-solving and effective communication skills. In addition, foreign language skills, analytical thinking and flexible adaptability are also highly valued.

Navigos’ survey of 16 industry groups shows that most industries pay salaries from 7-12 million VND/month, or 10-15 million VND/month for new graduates or those with less than 2 years of experience. For example, the customer service department of the transport supply chain has a salary of 7.6-12.7 million VND/month; finance and accounting is 10-15 million VND/month.
However, some industries have higher starting salaries. For example, supply chain (sourcing, business, purchasing, logistics, warehousing) is paid from 12.7–20.3 million VND/month. Marketing business in the hotel, restaurant and tourism industry is 12.7–17.8 million VND/month.
In particular, new graduates working as software developers in Hanoi have the highest salary of 20.3 million VND/month, while in Ho Chi Minh City it is from 20.4-50.8 million VND/month.
In the energy, oil and gas and architecture/design sectors, the highest salary in Hanoi is 20.3 million VND/month, while in Ho Chi Minh City it is 25.4 million VND/month. Business development positions have salaries ranging from 15.2-25.4 million VND/month in both cities. The report also highlights the explosion of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the job search process and the trend of flexible working. Many candidates use AI to optimize their CVs, look up company information, practice interviews and develop skills.
However, only 18.45% of candidates have used or are using AI, while 81.55% have not yet accessed this technology. Among popular AI tools, ChatGPT leads with 66.54% of users, followed by Gemini (15.53%) and Copilot (7.21%).
The report also found that demand for human resources in some industries is increasing, but still faces a shortage of high-quality workers. Positions such as data scientist , AI researcher, machine learning engineer and data researcher are becoming more important than ever.
The logistics industry in Vietnam is also lacking human resources, especially in the maritime and warehousing sectors. In contrast, the semiconductor industry is growing strongly thanks to policies to attract investment and train high-quality human resources.
