Born in 2014, Cao Hong Quang is a young student with extraordinary determination and will. When he was 4 years old, Quang was diagnosed with leukemia, a serious disease that makes anyone who hears it feel heartbroken.
Ms. Vu Thi Hong, mother of Cao Hong Quang, class 6A3, Mao Khe I Secondary School (Mao Khe ward) said: At the end of 2018, I saw that my child was pale, tired, and had a poor appetite, so I took him to the doctor. At first, I thought he was anemic, but after a bone marrow aspiration at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the doctor concluded that he had leukemia. At that time, I was devastated, unable to believe my ears.
During the first two years of treatment, Quang had to undergo more than ten rounds of chemotherapy. There were times when his peers were happily going to school, but he was lying in a hospital bed, facing needles and medication. When he entered first grade, every month he had to put his studies on hold to go to Hanoi for a few days of chemotherapy. However, Quang never lost heart. He always kept an optimistic smile, persistently took his medication every day, and regularly had check-ups every 2-3 months.
Overcoming the pain, Quang still did not stop studying. During the 5 years of primary school, he was an excellent student, winning many awards in the Handwriting Competition and the English Olympics. Cao Hong Quang shared: Every time I received the medicine, I felt very tired, but I told myself to try hard to get home quickly and go to school with my friends. I really liked going to school. When I studied, I forgot about my fatigue.

Nguyen Ngoc Anh, born in 2009, studying in class 11A7, Dam Ha High School (Dam Ha commune) is also a shining example of will and effort to excel in studying. Ngoc Anh lost her father at a young age. Her mother had to work hard to raise 4 siblings alone in extremely difficult economic circumstances. Understanding her mother's hardships, Ngoc Anh always tried her best, in grade 10 she achieved the title of Excellent Student, Excellent Union Member and District-level Young Talent (old Dam Ha district). Ngoc Anh said: I love my mother very much, so I always try to study really hard to have a stable job, and later help my mother financially.

Luong Duy Manh, born in 2008, a 12A4 student at Dam Ha High School, is also a determined student. His parents have been separated for 10 years, and he lives with his elderly grandmother. Life is difficult, but Manh has never given up. With his passion for History, he has continuously achieved proud achievements: Third Prize for Excellent History Students in the 2023-2024 school year and Second Prize in the 2024-2025 school year. Manh shared: "Each page of History is a lesson in patriotism and determination, helping me to be more steadfast in life. I believe that with perseverance and effort, all dreams will come true."
Along with Hong Quang, Ngoc Anh or Duy Manh, in the province there are many students who are typical examples of overcoming difficulties to excel in their studies. Such as: Dinh Nhat Huy, class 9D2, Nguyen Duc Canh Secondary School (Mao Khe ward), a disabled student, his parents are divorced, he lives with his mother but always tries hard in his studies. He won the prize for promising candidate in the National Informatics Competition in 2025. Nguyen Phuong Vi, class 8A, Duc Chinh Secondary School (Dong Trieu ward), his parents are divorced, his mother is raising 5 young children, he has no stable job, his family's economy is difficult, but in the 2024-2025 school year, Vi won the Encouragement Prize for excellent student exchange at the city level (old Dong Trieu city) in Natural Science (Biology); First prize in the city-level youth and children's creativity contest...
The students mentioned above are beautiful flowers in everyday life, spreading their fragrance with determination, perseverance and aspiration to rise up. Despite their difficult circumstances, they still make constant efforts, overcome illness, deprivation and sadness to write a story of faith and dreams.
