These days, Nghia Do ward (Hanoi) is filled with the vibrant red of flags, banners, and slogans, bustling with excitement to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

From main roads and alleyways to every residential area, an atmosphere of excitement permeates the air, with officials, Party members, and the people expressing confidence and high expectations for the Congress.

Reporters observed that throughout streets such as Hoang Quoc Viet and Nguyen Van Huyen, and in residential areas and neighborhoods, flags and flowers were displayed uniformly and solemnly, creating an urban landscape that was both dignified and welcoming. Alongside visual propaganda and promotion efforts, Nghia Do ward organized a high-intensity campaign for urban beautification and general environmental sanitation, considering this a practical activity to welcome the Congress. For many days now, ward officials, civil servants, armed forces, youth union members, women's association members, along with various organizations and a large number of people have simultaneously launched campaigns to clean up, collect waste, clear drainage ditches, clear overgrown bushes, remove illegal advertisements and flyers, and beautify alleys and sidewalks.

In residential areas No. 8 and No. 21, the spirit of "each citizen - one beautiful action for a civilized, clean, and beautiful Nghia Do" is concretized through simple yet practical actions. From maintaining cleanliness in front of their houses, planting and caring for trees, to reminding each other to clean the village roads and alleys every Saturday, and practicing a civilized urban lifestyle, all have contributed to creating a bright, green, clean, and beautiful urban landscape.

Through this, the awareness and responsibility of the people in protecting the living environment have been significantly raised, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and unity of the entire political system and the people of Nghia Do ward towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Besides urban beautification activities, Nghia Do ward pays special attention to implementing social welfare activities with a strong humanitarian focus, considering this a key highlight in the series of activities celebrating the Congress. A prime example is the program to build and repair "Houses of Solidarity" for disadvantaged families.

To implement the project, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghia Do Ward directed the Women's Union of the ward to review eligible households for support; and at the same time, coordinated to provide initial support solutions such as cleaning, collecting, and disposing of unused household items. The ward's Trade Union mobilized resources from agencies, units, and businesses in the area, contributing to the funding and resources to implement the project on schedule and ensure quality.

One of the families recently welcomed into a new home is that of Ms. Tran Thuy Mai, residing in Group 7, Nghia Do Ward. Ms. Mai is disabled and lives with her two children and five young grandchildren who are of school age. She has no pension and relies primarily on social welfare benefits for her livelihood. Their previous house was severely dilapidated, with peeling walls, dampness, and leaks, causing many difficulties in daily life. Now, it has been given a new lease of life. Ms. Mai shared that the "Great Solidarity" house not only holds material value but also serves as a great source of spiritual encouragement, instilling confidence and strength in families to overcome difficulties and achieve a stable life.

Another case is that of Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, residing at house number 51/5/40, alley 5, Hoang Quoc Viet Street. Ms. Lan's family is in difficult circumstances; her husband is frequently ill and unable to work steadily, while she herself works seasonal jobs with an unstable income, and her two children are of school age. Their old house, built many years ago, is severely dilapidated and poses a safety risk, but the family lacks the means to repair it.

Understanding and empathizing with the family's situation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghia Do Ward, the Ward's Trade Union, and other organizations, associations, and people in the area mobilized resources and implemented repairs and renovations to the house. After a period of work, the house is now spacious and sturdy, ensuring safe and stable living conditions for Mrs. Lan's family. Joy and emotion were clearly visible on the faces of the family members upon receiving the new, warm and meaningful house.

According to the leaders of Nghia Do ward, the program to build and repair Solidarity Houses is an activity with profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of the entire political system and the community. Through concrete and practical actions, Nghia Do ward continuously cares for the lives of its people, especially vulnerable households, contributing to building a more civilized and compassionate locality.

The above facts show that the series of activities celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Party in Nghia Do ward did not stop at decorating with flags and flowers or organizing lively emulation movements, but was also expressed through humane actions, focusing on people and for the happiness of the people.
