As the year draws to a close, the atmosphere in Hai Van ward becomes more vibrant as 10 houses belonging to poor and disadvantaged families in the area receive a fresh coat of paint. This meaningful activity was jointly implemented by the City Red Cross Society, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the Hai Van Ward Youth Union. The program aims to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and to ensure that people can celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026 in more comfortable and warm conditions.

According to Ms. Pham Tran Truc Mai, Secretary of the Hai Van Ward Youth Union, the program received guidance and support from the Ward Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, along with paint support from the City Red Cross Society, and the cooperation of officers and soldiers from the Hai Van Border Guard Station. More than 50 volunteer soldiers participated in the construction, contributing their labor to repaint and renovate houses for disadvantaged households.

The city's Red Cross Society announced that it will continue to coordinate with the Hoa Khanh Ward People's Committee to repaint 15 houses, contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing and helping many families have better conditions to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) in a joyful and fulfilling way.

Sharing the same spirit of caring for and supporting people to have a warm Tet holiday, in Que Son Trung commune, the "Warm House of Solidarity" model implemented by the commune's Youth Union has left many positive impressions. Ms. Le Thi Hoay Thuong, Secretary of the commune's Youth Union, said that through the model, the Youth Union members have helped repair and repaint two houses for elderly and disadvantaged households: Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyt (Phu Cuong 1 village) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuc (Thach Khe village).

The old houses have been renovated, giving them a new look, which not only contributes to improving living conditions but also helps families stabilize their lives and confidently welcome the Lunar New Year. Sharing her joy at living in her newly renovated house, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuc emotionally said that the timely care and support from the local government and the youth union members have given her the motivation to overcome difficulties and strive for a better life.

Ms. Le Thi Hoai Thuong shared that the "Warm Home of Solidarity" model will continue to be maintained and expanded in the future. Accordingly, the Youth Union of the commune proactively surveys difficult cases and mobilizes social resources to support people in celebrating a warm and meaningful Tet holiday. These practical activities, though simple, carry profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the pioneering spirit and responsibility of young people towards the community and society.

In Hoa Tien commune, the spirit of caring for those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution continues to be clearly demonstrated through the construction and handover of a "House of Gratitude" to Mrs. Dang Thi Tu, the wife of a fallen soldier, who is currently honoring three fallen soldiers (her husband and two brothers) along with a Vietnamese Heroic Mother in Phu Son Nam village.

The People's Committee of Hoa Tien commune, in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, mobilized social resources, raising a total of approximately 180 million VND to build a new house for Mrs. Tu's family. After just over a month of intensive construction, the house was completed, ensuring its sturdiness and safety. During the handover ceremony, the local authorities and benefactors also donated many essential household items, contributing to helping Mrs. Tu's family stabilize their lives.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Loi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Hoa Tien commune, affirmed that the construction of "Houses of Compassion" not only signifies the giving of a warm home but also spreads the spirit of solidarity and humanity, demonstrating the responsibility of the Party Committee, government, and community in the work of showing gratitude. Handing over the houses before the Lunar New Year contributes to bringing a warm spring to the poor and those who have rendered meritorious services, while also creating a spirit of emulation to welcome the 14th Party Congress.
