Research and develop a master plan for the development of the urban railway network in Da Nang.

On November 12, Director of the City's Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Management Board Le Thanh Hung said that the City People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch assigning units to coordinate research and develop a master plan for the development of the urban railway network in Da Nang city.

This planning is integrated into the master plan of the transport sector to ensure synchronous and unified implementation of planning, technology, and standards for project investment implementation.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to base on the opinions of experts at the workshop on the construction of the urban railway system of Da Nang city on October 24 and 25, 2025 to develop the contents needed to deploy and implement the urban railway project, and report to the City People's Committee for consideration and decision.

According to the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects of Da Nang City, opinions at the workshop focused on clarifying the necessity in the current period of reviewing and immediately implementing the work of making a master plan for transportation with urban railways as the core; connecting stations, airports, seaports, bus stations associated with regional development planning and Da Nang city planning.

At the same time, it presents experiences in selecting technology, localization roadmap, technology transfer, human resource training, investment model, and operation organization suitable to the conditions of Da Nang city; solutions for resource mobilization, public-private cooperation, ensuring feasibility and sustainable efficiency of the project.

Along with that, it is proposed to complete the framework of standards and technical regulations to apply to the urban railway system in order to synchronously deploy and connect the urban railway system in Vietnam and serve as a foundation for localizing components, helping domestic enterprises to participate in the production and investment of railway systems...
