Identifying that agricultural, forestry and fishery production plays an important role in the stability and development of the locality, in recent times, the People's Committee of Ngoc Trao commune has implemented many solutions to help people develop the economy , focusing on transforming the economic structure towards gradually reducing agriculture, increasing the proportion of services, industry and construction. Mobilizing people to boldly accumulate and convert ineffective rice and forest areas to crops of high economic value, applying scientific and technical advances, intensive farming to increase crop productivity, and applying mechanization to production.
To encourage people to accumulate and switch to high-value crops and modern production, along with connecting banks to create conditions for people to access preferential loans, technical training, production - consumption linkage and infrastructure construction, the commune has planned concentrated production areas, selected suitable crops, encouraged mechanization and linked with businesses to ensure product output. Promote the implementation of land accumulation plans for large-scale, high-tech agricultural production; focus on attracting investment in fruit tree production. Currently, the whole commune has accumulated 195 hectares of large-scale, high-tech agricultural production land; more than 456 hectares of fruit trees, concentrated in the villages: Ngoc Tam, Van Bao, Tan Lien, Thach Cu... are being harvested, bringing high income to farmers. In the commune, there are 2 OCOP products that meet 3-star standards, including guava of Van Bao Cooperative and honey of Ngoc Trao village honey beekeeping cooperative.
The commune's economy is developing quite well thanks to forestry and livestock. Specifically, the whole commune has more than 1,094 hectares of production forest, bringing high income from planting and replanting forests. In addition, livestock and poultry farming is invested in the direction of large-scale farms and commodities, with a total herd of more than 59,300 animals.
Industrial and handicraft production has many positive changes, some products have increased compared to the same period. Currently, the whole commune has 512 commercial and service establishments and 5 agricultural service cooperatives operating effectively, creating jobs for 1,200 workers. The commune has planned 3 industrial clusters on an area of 150 hectares, of which Van Du 1 industrial cluster has been established with an area of 20.3 hectares and is in the phase of infrastructure investment to attract projects.
In addition to economic achievements, Ngoc Trao commune also pays attention to administrative reform, procedure transparency and supports people in implementing administrative procedures (AP) effectively. Right from the first days of operating the 2-level local government, the commune has directed the Public Administration Service Center to strictly control the reception of AP files and guide citizens to submit and receive files through online and direct public services. From July 1 to November 20, the center received 3,649 AP files; of which, 3,163 files were received online, 486 files were received directly, 3,592 files were resolved, and 49 files are in the process of being resolved. The rate of resolving files before the deadline and on time reached 99.32%. The rate of online public services in full and in part reached 93.13%; the rate of digitized files reached over 90%. Timely settlement of people's administrative procedures has created trust, narrowing the gap between people and local authorities.
Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Ngoc Trao Commune, Le Xuan Binh, said: To achieve the target of the 2025-2030 period of an average annual growth rate of total product value of 7% or more, the Commune Party Committee has quickly stabilized the organization and leadership, directed cadres, party members and people to thoroughly grasp the policy of arranging administrative units and organizing 2-level local government in the direction of being closer to the people, serving the people better. Focus on large-scale, high-tech and high-value-added agriculture, through land accumulation and concentration, application of science and technology, digital transformation and development of modern agricultural models such as clean, organic, circular and ecological agriculture; in which, focusing on key products such as jackfruit, guava, dragon fruit, raw sugarcane associated with brand building, OCOP products... to improve the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of key products. Building a digital transformation plan for sustainable and comprehensive socio-economic development, in parallel with investing in synchronous infrastructure development, effectively managing resources and land use planning, opening up new positions and strengths for comprehensive and sustainable local development in the following years.
