In the past, the quality of incoming students at Tam Dao High School was lower than the general standard of Vinh Phuc province (formerly). Many students came from disadvantaged backgrounds, affecting their ability to attend school. To help them study well, the school provided support and encouragement in various ways. Among these, dozens of orphaned students are being sponsored by teachers until they graduate. In some cases, teachers are willing to support them until they graduate from university.

This school year, Principal Dao Thi Thuy Ha is supporting two students from classes 11A1 and 11A2. One student has lost both parents and lives with their siblings; the other comes from a very poor family. Witnessing these particularly difficult circumstances, the teachers decided to contribute rice to feed them and money to buy them health insurance cards. The homeroom teachers often take the time to understand the students' family circumstances in order to find ways to help them.

Last school year, the school organized a visit to the home of Tran Van Thien in Kien Trang village. His house was old and often leaked when it rained. Witnessing the hardships of their student, many teachers broke down in tears. Everyone decided to join hands to help him. The details of how to repair the house, what to buy, and what to donate were discussed and agreed upon quickly. The teachers raised tens of millions of dong to renovate the house. Some donated bicycles, others donated a cupboard, a rice cooker, a television, a table, a mattress, etc. Thanks to this, Thien now lives in a more decent house.

This school year, To Tien Thanh, a student in class 11A10, is facing a difficult situation. His father passed away when he was less than a year old, and his mother recently died in a traffic accident. The school immediately appealed for help and support. Teachers, students from various classes, many parents, and kind-hearted individuals donated over 200 million VND to support Thanh. Among them, Mr. Nguyen Duc Ngoc, the homeroom teacher of class 11A10, has pledged to support Thanh until he finishes 12th grade. Thanh, deeply moved, said: “Mr. Ngoc often visits my home. The teachers have helped me a great deal.”

Ms. Hoang Thi Na, homeroom teacher of class 10A9, shared: “I really love the honesty, sincerity, and simplicity of the people and students here. They know how to overcome difficulties to excel in their studies.” Although she has to work far from home, Ms. Na chose to stay at the school because it is truly “the happiest environment.” Principal Dao Thi Thuy Ha acts as both an MC for life skills education and a school psychology consultant, inspiring the teaching staff. To parents, she urged them to trust the school and strive to teach their children to become useful members of their families and society...

The school pays great attention to its environment and landscaping. The nearly 28-hectare campus is always lush and green with large mahogany trees and flowerbeds. The physical education building, football field, basketball court, and many other play areas are always well-maintained, clean, and spacious. Arts and sports activities are organized regularly, fostering a strong bond between students and teachers.

At the provincial-level 12th-grade gifted student selection exam for the 2025-2026 school year, the school had 56 students winning awards, including 3 first prizes and 13 second prizes. The high school graduation rate consistently reaches 100% every year. The average scores in the graduation exams have continuously increased; in 2025, the school ranked 6th out of 34 high schools in the former Vinh Phuc province and 9th out of 115 high schools in the new Phu Tho province. At Tam Dao High School, charitable and compassionate work has become an effective educational method; compassion is being nurtured daily, becoming a valuable asset for students on their future paths.
