The fire of patriotism

(PLVN) - At 7:00 a.m. on April 27, when the flames from 21 cannons at Bach Dang wharf simultaneously flashed and opened the rehearsal for the State-level parade in preparation for the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the streets and atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh City in particular, and the whole country in general, everywhere were brilliant with the colors of flowers and the red flag with yellow star like burning fire. And in the hearts of hundreds of millions of Vietnamese people, they all felt a fire burning fiercely.

From Hanoi, Hai Phong; to Hue, Da Nang; to Dong Nai, Binh Duong , Ho Chi Minh City... in recent days, everywhere has spread a joyful atmosphere to celebrate the reunification day. Rarely has an event attracted such widespread attention from all walks of life. On social networks, there are trends of changing the wallpaper with patriotic images, national pride.

In real life, there are trips to visit historical sites; activities to "repay gratitude" and show gratitude to those who have contributed; movements to wear shirts with the image of the national flag; urban beautification activities to beautify streets and residential areas; and promoting the completion of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for people in difficult circumstances...

In history, there have been few activities that have attracted the attention of the people like the parade on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. Many people from the localities came to Ho Chi Minh City, braved the sun, rain, and stayed up all night to see the majestic troops training on the streets.

It is not simply to have strange feelings before the images seen for the first time, not simply to join in the joyful festival atmosphere. Deep down, it is the urge of the flame of pride in each person's heart about the past, present, and future of the nation.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the unification of the country, there were also some coincidental but unexpected and extremely beautiful and touching events. At 8:00 a.m. on April 27, groups of Su30MK fighters of the Vietnam Air Force performed acrobatics in the sky of Ho Chi Minh City, dropping heat traps, demonstrating the power of the armed forces and creating light and smoke effects.

At the same time, not far away, at the construction site of the Long Thanh airport super project (Dong Nai), the runway lighting system, which is assessed to meet the highest technical requirements of world aviation, also lit up for the first time. These "flames" lit up not only to be ready to serve the calibration flight work, but also to mark the rapid, miraculous construction of the national key project.

This is one of the most careful and sophisticated works of any airport and to complete this, it is necessary to mobilize 1,025 engineers, workers, 243 specialized machines and equipment; 30 construction teams deployed simultaneously. These engineers and workers cannot join in the festive atmosphere in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, but in their hearts, everyone is celebrating, because they are "burning" themselves out for the development of the country.

During the historic days of April, feeling the flame of patriotism everywhere, we feel more love for our homeland and country; more proud of the history and tradition of fighting against foreign invaders of the nation; grateful to the previous generations who sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland; cherish the values of peace , independence, and great solidarity; have more faith in the leadership of the Party; happy with an increasingly modern and civilized life, spreading goodness and truth - goodness - beauty.
