The Cor people in Quang Ngai have two cultural heritage sites that have been recognized at the national level.

On the morning of June 19th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province, in coordination with the People's Committee of Tra Bong district, organized a ceremony to announce the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to inscribe "Nga Ra Tet (Sa Ni)" and "Ca Dao folk performance art" of the Cor ethnic group into the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Leaders of the Department of Cultural Heritage presented the decision recognizing the Nga Ra Tet festival and the Ca Dao folk performance art of the Cor ethnic group as national intangible cultural heritage .

At the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage Nong Quoc Thanh presented the certificate of recognition to Tra Bong district. This is a well-deserved recognition of the efforts to preserve the traditional cultural values ​​of the Cor people - an indigenous minority community with a long-standing connection to the mountainous region of Tra Bong.

The Ngã Rạ Tet festival is a harvest-praying festival held after the harvest, while the Cà đáo art form is a folk dance expressing the spirit of unity and community spiritual life. Both are typical heritages, preserved and passed down through many generations by the Cor people.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province also emphasized the necessity of developing a plan to preserve, transmit, restore, and promote heritage values, linked with tourism development and ethnic cultural education for the younger generation. At the same time, they proposed policies to support village elders, artisans, and shamans – those who play a core role in preserving heritage.

Quang Ngai province is orienting its efforts towards combining with the agricultural sector to preserve traditional upland rice varieties – an inseparable part of the Tet Nga Ra ritual – while continuing to digitize and document heritage to ensure the long-term preservation and dissemination of Cor people's cultural values ​​to the community and society.
