Meanwhile, culverts and spillways in the two mountainous districts of Huong Hoa and Dakrong are flooded from 0.5 to 1.5 meters deep, causing traffic disruption. Currently, functional forces and local authorities have had to erect barriers to prohibit people and vehicles from moving through flooded roads.
The National Highway 1A bypass section through Quang Tri town at Km16+270 is flooded 0.6m deep, causing traffic jams. National Highway 15D (from the West branch of Ho Chi Minh Road to La Lay International Border Gate and Dakrong Overflow Bridge - Km0+307) is currently flooded 0.8m deep, causing traffic jams.



The Quang Tri Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue said that heavy rains have caused thousands of houses in the localities to be deeply flooded. Local authorities and functional forces are implementing plans to evacuate people to safe shelters based on the flooding situation in the localities.
In the immediate future, Hai Lang, Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts have urgently evacuated more than 200 households in landslide areas to concentrated shelters. At the same time, thousands of hectares of newly planted summer-autumn rice are being flooded and the agricultural sector is making efforts to rescue them.

On the morning of June 13, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Bang, Deputy Political Commissar of Huong Phung Border Guard Station, Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard, said that the unit had established a team to be on duty to prevent floods and storms in the area. From 7:00 p.m. last night to 7:00 a.m. this morning, heavy rain in Huong Hoa district caused landslides on Ho Chi Minh road at Km30 in Chenh Venh village, Huong Phung commune, Huong Hoa district.

In addition, the water level in rivers and streams is rising, so the border guards must increase their forces to mobilize and propagate people who, despite the danger, go fishing in the strong currents to return home to ensure safety.




On the morning of June 13, in Hue City, heavy rain and hydroelectric reservoirs regulating water discharge from upstream caused flooding in the Huong River to exceed alert level 2, the Bo River to nearly alert level 3, and the O Lau River to be at a high level...



Floodwaters on the rivers rose, causing many places in Hue to be submerged. In the Dap Da area (Nguyen Sinh Cung Street, Hue City), water overflowed the road, forcing authorities to set up barriers and prohibit people from passing.
Mr. Dang Van Hoa, Chief of Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Hue City, said that hydropower plants were ordered to release water downstream to ensure dam safety. Of which, Huong Dien hydropower plant in the upper Bo River released water with a flow rate of more than 1,600m³/s; Binh Dien hydropower plant released water with a flow rate of more than 900m³/s, Ta Trach reservoir released water with a flow rate of more than 400m³/s...
