On the afternoon of November 26, the Quang Ngai Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital continued its efforts to treat a 6-year-old child who was brought to the emergency room by local residents due to drowning. The leaders of the Quang Ngai Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital said that the child has passed the critical stage and is currently being monitored and treated, with the aim of helping the child stabilize both his health and mental state.

Before that, at around 10:30 am the same day, a man (identity unknown) drove a motorbike with license plate 76E1-264… carrying two children onto the Truong Xuan railway bridge.

When reaching the middle of the bridge, the man suddenly stopped his car, hugged his two children and jumped into the Tra Khuc River, leaving behind his sandals, backpack, books...

Upon discovering the incident, local residents shouted and rushed to the rescue. The Tra Khuc River was flowing strongly and the water level was high due to heavy rain and flooding, so even though local residents were familiar with the river, it still took a long time to rescue the three.

However, the 2-year-old child did not survive. The man and the 6-year-old child were rushed to the emergency room in critical condition.

According to information from Quang Ngai General Hospital, the man in the incident is recovering well; the 6-year-old child is also gradually improving.

For the unfortunate 2-year-old child, the family received him and brought him home to prepare for the funeral.
