In Ho Chi Minh City , from 3 p.m., people from the Western provinces poured into the city via National Highway 1, the section in Tan Tuc town, Binh Chanh district, more and more. The heavy traffic caused many sections of National Highway 1 to be congested for about 2 km.
To reduce congestion, many traffic police officers divided into small groups to stand along the highway to direct traffic. At some intersections, police officers stood at traffic light control posts to increase the time to facilitate the flow of traffic from the West to Ho Chi Minh City.
