"This morning, my Facebook account suddenly displayed all my personal information, such as my date of birth, address, work history, and even marital status. This is all very sensitive personal information that I had previously hidden," shared Mạnh Dũng.
According to observations by Dan Tri reporters, the recent update to the personal profile interface has resulted in a lot of user information being displayed unintentionally. This change is noticeable on both the web and mobile application platforms.
Facebook has not yet commented on the matter. However, many users have expressed dissatisfaction with this update.
"I am unhappy about this change. This is all my private information. Facebook's unauthorized public disclosure of users' personal information like this can create significant risks for users, especially in the context of the increasing number of online scams today," said user Ngo Hong Nhung.
In early January, many large Facebook fan pages also experienced issues with their profile pictures being deleted, or even disappearing for no apparent reason. The platform stated that the cause stemmed from a technical glitch.
At that time, the disappearance of numerous large fan pages triggered a wave of users deleting their profile pictures. Many rumored that this could help prevent their accounts from being hacked. However, a representative from Meta confirmed that these rumors were inaccurate.
