On the morning of February 15, on the National Highway 1 bypass, through Hung Nguyen district ( Nghe An ), many people took late buses leaving their hometowns to go to the southern provinces to make a living.
North-South traffic moves slowly on the National Highway 1 bypass through Hung Tay and Hung Dao communes (Hung Nguyen district).
Adults and children, all carrying backpacks and bags, left their hometowns and returned to the city to make a living. On the morning of February 15, the weather was quite hot and sunny, making waiting for the bus more difficult, especially for families with young children.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Quyen (28 years old, engineer of Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant) took a bus from Nam Dan to Vinh city bypass, then took another bus to Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa province.
"The bus company told me to come at 7am but it's already past 9am but I still haven't arrived. I called to ask and they said the traffic was too congested. Normally it takes less than 20 hours to go from Nghe An to Nha Trang, but on the day I returned for Tet I was on the bus for exactly 23 hours. I hope the traffic will be clear in the afternoon and the buses won't be jammed," he said.
In the hot weather, Mr. Hai (from Thanh Chuong, Nghe An) had to take off the blanket in his suitcase to cover his 3-year-old son. This year, Mr. Hai's wife and two older children are still in Lam Dong , he and his youngest son returned to their hometown to celebrate his father's longevity.
A passerby gave him a cloth hat. Mr. Hai put it on his child, but the child kept pushing it away. The father had to hold his child and use the hat to cover him.
"The weather was erratic a few days ago so my baby had a runny nose and was fussy. Now that we have to wait for the bus in the sun, he's even fussier and keeps asking me to hold him," Hai shared. The bus he booked for his son arrived more than an hour late from the scheduled time.
Mr. Dang Van Huan (40 years old, from Nam Dan) has worked for 11 years at a cashew processing company in Binh Phuoc. Every year, he takes time to return home for Tet with his family.
"As excited as I was to return, I was just as sad to leave," Mr. Huan confided.
Talking about the possibility of leaving Binh Phuoc to return to his hometown to start a business, Mr. Huan seemed hesitant. Having worked here for a long time, being used to the job and being old, this man said it would be difficult to change or get used to a new job from the beginning. Besides, income is also something that makes him think.
Currently, the fixed salary of this male worker is over 9 million VND, with overtime, Mr. Huan's total monthly income is over 12 million VND. Meanwhile, with the average salary in Nghe An, it is not easy for Mr. Huan to find a suitable job with a similar income.
A family waits for a bus at Ben Thuy 2 Bridge (Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An Province) to go to the South. The bus arrived later than scheduled on sunny days, making them quite tired.
