Mr. Huynh Minh Hiep stated that collecting and preserving old Lunar New Year newspapers is not just about personal preference. Each Lunar New Year newspaper is a cultural witness of its time. Lunar New Year newspapers are not simply special publications for Tet (Lunar New Year), but also a convergence point of journalistic excellence, fine arts, literature, and the social spirit of each historical period.

“For me, preserving these Lunar New Year newspaper editions is about preserving community memories. In the context of rapidly developing digital media and information changing every hour, these old Lunar New Year newspapers become even more valuable as living documents – helping the younger generation better understand the development journey of Vietnamese journalism and the cultural identity of Vietnamese Tet through different periods,” Mr. Hiep added.
