The election will last 3 days, Russian voters will choose the person to become the country's leader for the next term among 4 candidates including Mr. Vladislav Davankov of the New People's Party, Mr. Leonid Slutsky of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), Mr. Nikolai Kharitonov of the Communist Party of Russia (KPRF) and current President Vladimir Putin.

This is Russia's eighth presidential election since 1991. Since Russia spans nine time zones, most polling stations in Moscow and the west will open at 12:00 Hanoi time. More than 113 million ballots have been prepared, and 12,645 reporters from 2,458 media outlets have registered to cover the election.
