"Medicine" from a compassionate heart
Present at the event very early, Duy Anh, an employee of TNG Holdings Vietnam, shared: "For patients, blood is a 'medicine' 'produced' from the hearts of healthy people. That is why I and many of my colleagues came to 'Giot Thuong' with an excited spirit to donate our blood drops to contribute a small part to the blood banks of hospitals".
Screening before blood donation
Ms. Hang Ngan (from a partner company of TNG Holdings Vietnam) shared that when she was a student, she did not care much about donating blood because she considered it a job for the union or association. However, when her mother fell ill and was hospitalized, having to wait for each bag of blood that the doctor brought home, she changed her mind. Since then, she has donated blood 3-4 times a year and considers it a KPI for her own health training.
"When I was still healthy, I gave away the things my body could regenerate like blood, hair, etc. to those in need. That is what makes me happy and full of positive energy," said Ms. Hang Ngan.
For employees who have the habit of donating blood, "Giọt Thương" is a goal to improve their health. They spend more effort to take care of their health, exercise , and take care of their nutrition to nourish healthy blood to give away in the most respectful way on the Group's blood donation day.
TNG Holdings Vietnam staff participate in blood donation at the "Giọt Thương" festival
The "Giọt Thương" festival also welcomed many people donating blood for the first time. There was a receptionist who had just graduated from school, overcoming her fear of needles and pain to donate healthy drops of blood. There was a technical staff in his 50s who overcame age barriers and health concerns to do a good deed with his colleagues. There were people who worked far from the headquarters but were also willing to arrange their work, traveling dozens of kilometers to the event to give love.
The program "Giọt Thương" has the participation of many leaders of the Group.
The blood donation program at TNG Holdings Vietnam also received enthusiastic response from the leadership team. The organizing committee said that nearly 50% of the Group's leaders registered to donate blood.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, General Director of TNPower Energy Joint Stock Company (a member of TNG Holdings Vietnam), shared: "In 2015, I donated blood for the first time. Since then, I have often participated whenever possible. Every time I sit on the chair while donating blood, I think about how the unit of blood I am donating can contribute a small part to saving a life. I feel very happy and a sense of pride in myself is kindled in my heart. If you have never donated blood, you should do it right away and as soon as possible to feel a better version of yourself."
Spreading acts of kindness towards the community
The blood donation festival not only attracted TNG Holdings Vietnam staff, but also employees of companies at TNR Tower. "Giọt Thương" collected nearly 700 units of blood, exceeding the initial target by nearly 200 units.
"Thanks to the 'Giọt Thương' idea and TNG culture for promoting a sense of proactive responsibility in me and many colleagues. This not only saves lives but also shapes a strong humanitarian culture and makes the world a warmer place. Let's continue to support and participate in activities like 'Giọt Thương' to spread love and create positive values for society," said Cong Thanh, a TNG Holdings Vietnam employee donating blood for the second time.
Cong Thanh, an employee of the Finance and Planning Department, participated in donating blood.
Show off your love together.
Mr. Huy, an employee of a company renting on the 22nd floor of TNR Tower, was the last person to donate blood at "Giot Thuong". He said that last year, his wife had pregnancy complications, and the doctors had to transfuse 17 liters of blood to keep her with the family. He felt extremely grateful to those who had donated blood. Since then, he has regularly donated blood to "repay" the debt of gratitude.
Attracting many people outside of TNG shows the spreading power of the blood donation festival "Giọt Thương". The warmth and love in the blood given today will be good seeds for the kind forests to multiply forever.
"Giọt Thương" is the highlight event of the series of activities towards the TNG Share community - one of three cultural touchpoints at TNG Holdings Vietnam. In 2023, TNG Share spread the love of TNG people to the community through the programs "Sharing love" and "Going to school with you".
Specifically, the Group has sponsored the construction of houses for the poor in Hau Giang, repaired bridges in Bac Lieu ; contributed to the renovation of the school in Ta Cu Nhe village (Ha Giang); Lang Lau school (Lang Son), renovated the school in Hung Nhan town (Thai Binh), awarded bicycles and scholarships to hundreds of students nationwide...
Sharing at the "Giọt Thương" festival, TNG Holdings Vietnam General Director, Mr. Tran Xuan Quang said: "We hope that the blood donation festival and many other love-sharing activities demonstrate the proactive sense of responsibility of TNG people towards the community, and inspire positive motivation for staff. From there, we will support and extend the Group's favorable journey."
From now until the end of the year, TNG Holdings Vietnam will continue to implement many other community programs.
