According to VNA, in a solemn atmosphere, the Ambassador expressed his wish that the people would continue to uphold the tradition of solidarity and mutual support, actively integrate into the local society, while always looking towards their homeland and making practical contributions to strengthening the friendly relations between Vietnam and France. On the first day of the new year, Truc Lam Zen Monastery in Villebon-sur-Yvette attracted a large number of people to worship Buddha.
On the occasion of the New Year, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos, Nguyen Minh Tam, along with embassy staff, visited and extended New Year greetings to exemplary Vietnamese expatriate families in Vientiane. The Ambassador acknowledged and highly appreciated the dedicated and responsible contributions of these families in key areas such as transportation, petroleum, culture, and tourism ; affirming that these families and businesses are important bridges contributing to the continuous strengthening and development of the Vietnam-Laos relationship. The Ambassador particularly emphasized the importance of nurturing the younger generation of expatriates to participate in community activities; encouraging investment in the development of eco-tourism areas and transportation infrastructure in Laos, as well as preserving and transmitting Vietnamese cultural identity and language to the younger generation and the Lao people.
At the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Moscow, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi cordially received Mr. Evgeny Grigoriev, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Saint Petersburg.
The Ambassador affirmed that the fact that the leaders of the Saint Petersburg government took the time to visit and extend New Year greetings to the Vietnamese representative office is clear evidence of the traditional and close friendship between the two countries in general, and between the city of Saint Petersburg and Vietnamese localities in particular.
The two sides exchanged views on a number of activities to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the coming period, and shared a vision for expanding cooperation between Saint Petersburg and Ho Chi Minh City, such as promoting business delegations to explore the market, strengthening economic and trade cooperation, cultural and educational cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.
Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam, along with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic and representatives of the Vietnamese community, visited and extended New Year greetings to Vietnamese expatriates at the Sapa Trade Center in Prague. Amidst the cold European weather, the Sapa area suddenly became unusually warm with the red couplets, lanterns, and stalls overflowing with the flavors of the Vietnamese New Year. The Ambassador expressed his joy and pride in the unity, hard work, and development of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.
In Bali, Indonesia, the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working there celebrated New Year's Eve together in a simple yet warm atmosphere, with familiar dishes from their homeland's Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations. Those living far from home reminisced about the past year, shared stories of life abroad, and exchanged wishes for peace and good fortune.
