Despite having to start two hours late due to heavy rain, Nguyen Anh Minh still maintained his stable performance. He did not start smoothly when he made a bogey at hole number 2, but that was also the only mistake of the day.
From holes 6 to 11, Anh Minh scored 4 birdies in a row, before closing the round with 7 consecutive pars. The second consecutive round of 69 strokes (-3) under par not only helped Nguyen Anh Minh improve 3 places on the rankings.
Another representative of Vietnam also scored negative points in round 2 is Austin Le. With 5 birdies, 1 bogey and 1 double bogey, Austin Le finished the round with 71 strokes (-1), temporarily ranked 46th (+5).
Meanwhile, Do Duong Gia Minh showed signs of improvement when he scored 4 birdies in round 2, the first birdies of the tournament, to finish the round with 75 strokes, 1 stroke better than round 1. With a total score (+7), Gia Minh ranked 50th after round 2.
With the cut at the mark (+11), all 3 Vietnamese representatives won the right to move on to the next round.
The Singapore Open Amateur Championship 2025 takes place at Orchid Country Club (par 72), gathering many of the top amateur golfers in the Asia- Pacific region. This is not only a big challenge but also a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese representatives to compete and compete.
