Attending the ceremony were: Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee Vu Hai Ha and leaders of the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee; Economic and Financial Committee; State Bank of Vietnam; National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province and relevant agencies and units.
Speaking at the ceremony, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki expressed his respect and deep gratitude for the positive contributions of Comrade Nguyen Van Giau during his working period, especially in his position as Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam , Chairman of the Economic Committee of the 13th National Assembly, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the 14th National Assembly in strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and Japan in the fields under his responsibility, promoting good cooperation between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Japanese Parliament.
Former Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Nguyen Van Giau expressed his deep gratitude to the Japanese Government for considering and awarding the noble Medal; thanked the Party and State of Vietnam for allowing him to receive the Medal; and the relevant agencies of the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government for coordinating to support the completion of the dossier according to the regulations of the two countries.

Former Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Nguyen Van Giau emotionally recalled profound memories during his work, promoting relations with Japan, especially in perfecting Vietnam's legal framework, improving the investment environment, promoting the adoption of the CPTPP Agreement, the National Assembly's foreign affairs activities, and the activities of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Parliamentarians' Group.
Former Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Nguyen Van Giau affirmed that the Order of the Rising Sun with gold and silver stars from the Japanese Government is not only an honor for individuals but also a recognition of the joint efforts for a bright future between the Japanese and Vietnamese people; he wishes to continue contributing to the relationship between the two countries.
