Accordingly, the University Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University has approved the decision to appoint Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong to hold the position of Rector of Nguyen Tat Thanh University for a period of one year, from November 24, 2025 to November 23, 2026. During this period, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong will receive duties and powers under the direction of the University Council.
Dr. Nguyen Mai Lan, Party Secretary, Chairman of the University Council of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, presented the decision to appoint the principal to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong was born in 1957, from Bac Ninh . He has nearly 4 decades of experience in teaching, research and university administration.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong graduated with a PhD in geography from Hanoi National University of Education I in 1994 and was recognized as an associate professor in 2003.
From 1978 to June 2017, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong worked as a lecturer and then held the positions of Deputy Head of the Department of Geography, Vice Principal, and Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
From January 2020 to December 2021, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong was Vice Principal of Van Hien University, and concurrently Editor-in-Chief of the geography section of history-geography textbooks (grades 6 to 9) and Editor-in-Chief of geography textbooks (grades 10 to 12) of the Vietnam Education Publishing House, General Education Program 2018.
From 2023 to November 2025, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong worked at the Journal of Science and Technology of Nguyen Tat Thanh University as Editor-in-Chief.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong delivered a speech and accepted the position of Rector of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

In her inaugural speech and acceptance of her duties, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong pledged to work with the leadership team and lecturers to build Nguyen Tat Thanh University into a humane, united, and creative academic environment, where all efforts are listened to and recognized.
“ Student success is a measure of the success of the school and educators,” Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong affirmed.
Previously, Dr. Tran Ai Cam held the position of Principal of Nguyen Tat Thanh University from 2020. Dr. Cam started working at the university in 2008 and was then appointed as Deputy Head of the Training Management Department. From 2009, Dr. Tran Ai Cam was Head of the Training Department and from September 2010 was appointed as Vice Principal. In March 2017, Dr. Tran Ai Cam was appointed as Permanent Vice Principal, becoming Principal from 2020 until the end of the term.
Nguyen Tat Thanh University has also just appointed Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam as Vice Rector. Thus, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has completed the Board of Directors including 7 members: Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong, Rector, and Vice Rector: Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Hong, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Dr. Hoang Huu Dung and Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam.
