6-storey building on fire in the middle of the capital, black smoke billowing high

At around 9:25 a.m. on September 16, a high-rise building on Vu Trong Phung Street (Thanh Xuan District) caught fire on the attic floor. Thick black smoke billowed up, causing panic among many witnesses.

The burned house is 6 stories high and has an attic, the lower floors are rented out for business.

Upon receiving the news, Thanh Xuan District Police dispatched fire trucks and officers to the scene to put out the fire. About 30 minutes later, the fire was completely contained.

The fire broke out from the attic of the house.

The initial cause was determined to be due to workers renovating the house, using saws, sparks hit the foam and caught fire.

Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties.
