
Long Hiep House will be completely renovated in 2022 - Photo archive
On November 28, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province held a ceremony to announce the decision and receive the certificate of national relic ranking "The place where the first Provincial Party Committee of Cho Lon province was established, November 1930, Long Hiep House".
Long Hiep House is located in My Yen Commune, Tay Ninh (formerly Long Hiep Commune, Ben Luc District, Long An ). The ceremony was attended by former President Truong Tan Sang, former leaders, leaders of Tay Ninh Province and relatives of Mr. Nguyen Tan Tao, the former owner of the house.
In November 1930, the 3-room, 2-wing house of Mr. Nguyen Tan Tao, a well-off family at that time, was directed by the Southern Regional Party Committee to be the venue for the conference to establish the first Provincial Party Committee of Cho Lon province.
Mr. Ung Van Khiem chaired the conference on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee. Five people were elected to the first Executive Committee of the Cho Lon Provincial Party Committee, with Mr. Le Quang Sung as Secretary.

The establishment of the first Provincial Party Committee of Cho Lon province is considered one of the important events, helping to unify the Party organization from the province to the grassroots, contributing to the revolutionary movement in Cho Lon province and the South to be aroused and increasingly developed, successful in the cause of national liberation.
Long Hiep House was ranked as a provincial historical relic by the People's Committee of Long An province in 1994. In 2022, the house was renovated and restored to its original state and a memorial stele was erected to commemorate the establishment of the first Provincial Party Committee of Cho Lon province.
