The first network to support SIM activation via VNeID

By applying identity authentication using VNeID, users can proactively perform the entire registration and activation process of FPT SIM online.

FPT Mobile Network has just announced that it has officially become the first network operator in Vietnam to deploy the process of activating owner SIM cards through identity authentication using the national electronic identification account (VNeID), contributing to standardizing mobile subscribers and preventing the situation of junk SIM cards in the market.

Accordingly, customers using FPT mobile network (with prefix 0775xxx...) can register and activate their own SIM card right on the FPT Shop application through identity authentication using VNeID account. Specifically, users log in to the FPT Shop application, select "Activate SIM", then select activate with electronic identification account - VNeID to authenticate identification information. The FPT Shop application will automatically link with the VNeID application to authenticate data and complete the activation registration.

The subscriber will be confirmed as the owner immediately after completing the registration steps. By applying identity authentication using VNeID, users can proactively perform the entire registration process and activate FPT SIM online, saving time and without having to go to the store or bring a hard copy of the CCCD. This form of authentication also eliminates the risk of document forgery, because user information has been identified and authenticated by the state management agency.
