Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant is expected to generate commercial electricity before December 20.

(DN) - On December 7, information from the Power Project Management Board, Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation (PV Power) said: Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant, part of the Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant Project, is expected to generate commercial electricity before December 20.

Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 are the first projects in Vietnam designed to use liquefied natural gas (LNG) according to the Power Plan VIII, belonging to the group of important national projects. The project has a total capacity of more than 1,600 MW, with a total investment of 1.4 billion USD.

According to PV Power, all items related to Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant have been completed according to design. The plant has completed a 72-hour reliable running test with satisfactory operating parameters and is eligible for commercial operation.

Previously, Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant generated commercial electricity on November 20, 2025.

Completing the project on schedule, putting the project into operation soon, contributing to the province's budget revenue, promoting the development of the industrial and service sectors around Phuoc An Seaport and industrial parks, ensuring energy security for the province and the Southeast region, contributing to energy transition and green economic development.
