Amidst the spreading spring atmosphere throughout the streets, the Quang Uy Mechanical Processing Factory construction site still bustles with the sounds of machinery, welding and cutting, and the hurried footsteps of workers.
The project, invested by Quang Uy One-Member Limited Company and constructed by Vung Ang Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, commenced in October 2025 and is expected to be completed in April 2026. With a total investment of 140 billion VND, the factory will be built on an area of over 9,800 m² in Vung Ang Industrial Park 1.
According to the design, the project includes two main workshops along with a comprehensive system of supporting facilities such as a three-story administrative building, a shift change rest area, a security guard house, a parking garage, and a waste collection area. Workshop No. 1 has an area of over 2,600 m²; Workshop No. 2 has an area of over 2,300 m². This is a factory specializing in mechanical processing serving the VinFast electric vehicle manufacturing plant, playing a crucial role in the supporting industrial supply chain.
At this time, the main items are being completed urgently. Factory No. 1 has completed the steel structure assembly and roofing, and nearly 1,800 m² of concrete foundation has been poured; the remaining part is under construction with foundation pits for installing machinery and equipment.
Factory No. 2 has completed the fabrication of its frame for assembly. The administration building has poured the roof of the second floor, gradually completing the structure. Notably, all machinery and equipment have been cleared through customs and transported to the construction site. It is expected that foreign experts and suppliers will begin installation during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.
Mr. Tran Sy Quang – Project Manager, Vung Ang Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, said: “The current workload is very large, especially in the foundation pits for installing equipment lines. We are focusing maximum manpower and machinery, and organizing overtime work to ensure progress. Even in the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), our team is maintaining a rapid work pace, striving to complete the foundation items according to the plan signed with the investor...”
On the construction site, each team is assigned specific tasks, working in a staggered manner to avoid overlap. Preliminary installation of machinery components is also prepared simultaneously so that when the foundation pit is completed, assembly can be done quickly and accurately. This proactive approach helps shorten the time and facilitates the project's early commissioning.
For investors, progress is not only a technical commitment but also a decisive factor in production and business efficiency. Mr. Tran Quang Thuong, Director of Quang Uy One-Member Limited Company, shared: “The factory is invested to serve the mechanical processing needs of the VinFast electric car manufacturing plant, so the completion schedule is very important. Even though it's close to Tet (Lunar New Year), we are still coordinating closely with the contractor to ensure that the main items are implemented on schedule. The arrival of machinery and equipment at the construction site is a favorable condition to accelerate the installation and testing process...”
Mr. Thuong also stated that the company pays special attention to working conditions and benefits for employees during the Tet holiday, ensuring safety and boosting morale so that staff and workers can confidently stay at the construction site.
In the final days of the year, while many places are preparing for the Lunar New Year holiday, the Quang Uy Mechanical Processing Plant construction site remains brightly lit. Workers are making the most of every hour to complete the workshop foundation, erect steel structures, and re-check every technical detail. This effort not only aims to ensure the progress of the 140 billion VND project but also contributes to creating further momentum for the supporting industries in the Vung Ang Economic Zone.
