Designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam and models greet the audience.
Working with designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam, director Do Bao Ngoc used stage language, light and movement to tell the story of Vietnamese culture, helping the collection "Quintessence of Vietnamese Silk" touch the hearts of international audiences.
If designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam is the one who breathes life into each layer of silk, then director Do Bao Ngoc is the one who brings those layers of silk carrying the Vietnamese soul onto the stage, so that each Ao Dai flap, when moving, carries the story of Vietnam's origin.
For Do Bao Ngoc, stage fashion is not just a beautiful performance but also a way for a nation to introduce itself to the world. She shared: “In the field of fashion, the ao dai is the soul of Vietnamese culture. When appearing on the world stage, the ao dai is the messenger that tells the story of Vietnam with its soft and proud beauty, without many words.”

Designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam and models present the Vietnamese Ao Dai collection.
The international models and beauty queens such as Lala Guseynzade, Kayla Dinh, Thanh Khoa, Que Tran... when wearing the Vietnamese ao dai were carefully instructed by the director on every look, step, and way to maintain their demeanor. "I don't just teach them to walk gracefully, but I want them to understand and feel the feminine spirit of the ao dai. When wearing this costume, they are representing the most beautiful and sacred part of Vietnamese costumes" - Do Bao Ngoc said.
On the background of high-quality SVF silk, the techniques of drawing, printing, double-sided embroidery and sophisticated Flora Haven silk flowers, the director uses music , lighting and stage layout to highlight every detail. The audience not only sees the beautiful ao dai but also feels the cultural depth hidden in each silk fold, each curve of the shape.
The moment international models strode in Vietnamese ao dai in California created a strong echo. It was no longer a simple fashion show, but the moment when ao dai stepped out into the world with its Vietnamese identity. Director Do Bao Ngoc proudly shared: “The world can name all kinds of dresses, but with ao dai, they have to use the original Vietnamese word.”
"Taste of Vietnam × VNARP 10 Years" has ended, but the image of Vietnamese Ao Dai and the mark of the creative team still remains as a beautiful highlight in the series of activities celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Ao Dai Do Trinh Hoai Nam brand.
