From tourist paradise to livable bay city

Nha Trang has long been famous as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Vietnam. From 2024 to the first half of 2025, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism has continuously recorded impressive numbers. In 2024, the province welcomed more than 10.6 million visitors, an increase of 45.5% compared to 2023. In the first 5 months of 2025, the number of visitors continued to maintain growth momentum with more than 4.6 million, an increase of 19.3% over the same period. The land of agarwood has also reached international stature when it became the only representative of Vietnam to appear in the list of the world's top 15 destinations in the summer of 2025, and is also the top favorite choice of Korean tourists during this year's peak season.

These telling numbers not only demonstrate the breakthrough of the tourism industry but also reflect a deeper movement: no longer a short stopover for hasty trips, Nha Trang has now become a place to return to, a gentle land that opens its arms to welcome migrants to live and experience. Amidst the windy blue sky, the vast blue sea and the slow pace of life, they find their own breath, gentle but extremely profound.

According to Agoda, in the first 5 months of 2025, Nha Trang was in the top 5 destinations with the longest average length of stay in Asia. More and more people are not only visiting but also deciding to stay, for a few weeks, a few months, even years. They live like real coastal residents, immersing themselves in a peaceful, dynamic but not bustling lifestyle, typical of a coastal city that is growing strongly.

Although there are no official statistics on the migration rate, the trend of “leaving the city for the sea” is clearly present. Nha Trang seems to have everything that makes people want to stop: real estate is still in the “lowland” compared to long-term potential, the environment is clean, the quality of life is constantly improving, the prices are reasonable, the service ecosystem is increasingly complete, the infrastructure is constantly being invested in and upgraded…

Ready to welcome the wave of "leaving the city for the sea" of new generation residents

Nha Trang is blessed with a temperate climate, warm sunshine all year round, cool sea breezes and is rarely affected by storms. The clean space with an ideal air quality index (AQI) for health - often below 35 - has become a silent but priceless gift of the bay. For Ms. Le Thu Ha, a technology specialist from Hanoi , the journey to "find fresh air" for her daughter with mild asthma took an unexpected turn. "At first, I only planned to come here for a few months to give my child a change of pace, but after half a year, she hardly needs to take medicine regularly. With deep gratitude, we chose to stay in Nha Trang." Ms. Ha's voice was light, as if that decision was the most natural thing, when a land quietly heals in its own way.

Tran Cong Minh, a marketing manager who used to live in Ho Chi Minh City, was captivated by Nha Trang's peaceful pace of life and simplicity in every little thing. "I rented out an apartment in Thu Duc and brought my whole family here to start a different journey of life, slower, deeper and warmer. Although Nha Trang is a tourist capital, everything is still moderate, from prices to living rhythm, enough for my family to feel happy without having to compete with financial pressure," Minh confided.

The elderly also find tranquility in the murmuring waves every morning, children grow up in the gentle embrace of cool green nature, and young people can work remotely but still touch the gentle rhythm of life in every moment. Nha Trang is also a land of harmony between tradition and modernity, Kinh people, Cham people, ethnic minorities, foreigners and overseas Vietnamese together collect and preserve long-standing cultural values in the flow of integration. A place not only to live, but also to bond and belong.

The land of agarwood and bird's nest carries a modern, dynamic lifestyle, with infrastructure and transportation increasingly approaching developed urban areas. From the center of the bay to Cam Ranh International Airport, it only takes about 35 minutes, seamlessly connecting to a system of living facilities such as hospitals, schools, supermarkets, cinemas, health care centers... In particular, the multi-center urban planning is gradually forming a new look, where space is expanded, the pace of life is relaxed, so that people can breathe deeper, slow down and love this land with all the attachment from within.

After the merger of Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa, Nha Trang is oriented to become the new administrative center of the South Central Coast.

With advantages in tourism, green energy and marine economy, Khanh Hoa is entering a period of outstanding development. The trend of moving to Nha Trang is no longer a forecast but is present in each family, each story of change, people looking for a place with sun, wind, sea and a full life. In that flow, North Nha Trang is gradually emerging as a new growth pole, gathering civilized residents and smart investors, together creating a livable land for the present and the future.
