After the tense developments in round 14, Barcelona entered the early match of round 19 of La Liga 2025/26 with Atletico Madrid.

The move comes as the two teams will compete in the Spanish Super Cup in early 2026 in Saudi Arabia, alongside Real Madrid and Bilbao.

This will be Barca's third consecutive home match at Camp Nou. In the previous two matches, the Catalan team won all six points by beating Bilbao and Alaves.

In the most recent match, Hansi Flick's team had an important 3-1 victory over Alaves. Tactically, the German coach was not satisfied, but the team got the maximum points.

This victory, along with Real Madrid's 1-1 draw at Girona, put Barca at the top of the La Liga table.

This gives Barca more confidence when hosting Atletico. Hansi Flick expressed his joy when Raphinha returned to the starting lineup and participated in the first two goals.
