Vietnam U22 team only had enough players yesterday (November 11) and had only one training session before the opening match against China U22 at CFA Team China Panda Cup 2025. However, coach Dinh Hong Vinh affirmed that this is not a problem, but on the contrary, the players are all in good form, participating in many tournaments together from 2024, so they are very confident.

CFA Team China Panda Cup 2025 is a very important tournament, helping U22 Vietnam prepare for the 33rd SEA Games and the 2026 AFC U23 Championship. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh emphasized that continuing to face strong opponents in the tournament provides a stepping stone for U22 Vietnam to consolidate their strength and perfect their playing style.

Because it is a friendly tournament, U22 Vietnam does not focus on the achievement target, but will definitely do their best to have a good performance. More importantly, after each match, Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and the coaching staff will draw lessons and make adjustments to best prepare for the SEA Games campaign in early December.

In the opening match, some players who have just joined the team due to V-League schedule will be able to rest. Regardless of the lineup, coach Dinh Hong Vinh will have many options and come up with suitable tactics to help U22 Vietnam play smoothly.

The fact that most of the players have been through many tournaments from 2024 until now, notably winning the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship and winning a ticket to the 2026 AFC U23 Championship, shows the ability to understand and connect in U22 Vietnam.

Meanwhile, U22 China, in addition to the advantage of having fans cheering them on, also has a squad of players with good physique, for example, striker Behram Abduweli who is 1m88 tall. U22 China has a player playing abroad, Wang Bohao (Dutch club Den Bosch).

The match between U22 Vietnam and U22 China will kick off at 6:35 p.m. on November 12 in Sichuan, China.

Expected lineup of U22 Vietnam: Trung Kien, Ly Duc, Hieu Minh, Nhat Minh, Xuan Bac, Thai Son, Van Khang, Cong Phuong, Ngoc My, Thanh Nhan, Quoc Viet
