When "Say mot doi vi em" became a phenomenon, Huong My Bong admitted that she was not too surprised, as soon as she finished it she knew this song would definitely be famous. However, because of her fame and when she spoke up to assert the copyright of the song, Huong My Bong encountered more trouble than success: "I constantly had to supplement documents, evidence, analyze the composition process... to confirm something that seemed very simple: I am the author of my song."

Few people would have thought that the author behind the million-view song is doing a job completely unrelated to art. Huong My Bong currently works in an office, mainly managing housing, land and family businesses.

"My daily work is quite rigid, so composing music is where I find balance. It's a place for me to be myself," she confided.

Many people think that "Say mot doi vi em" is Huong My Bong's first composition, but in fact, music has been with her since childhood: "When I was in primary school, I used to compose songs for my friends to perform at school. When I took the university entrance exam, I passed both the Central College of Music and Fine Arts following my dream and the Hanoi National University following my family's wishes. In the end, I was forced to give up my passion to follow my family's choice."

Huong My Bong revealed that there are still many great songs that have not been released yet, and that she might introduce them to the public later. Huong My Bong said she has not thought about entering showbiz yet.
