Many key programs to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, Vietnam Television (VTV) is carrying out a series of key programs to honor the image of the soldier who "sacrifices himself for the people" and is always simple, sacred and noble.

Regarding the programs at the press conference on the afternoon of December 16, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television Do Thanh Hai said: Exploiting many genres with elaborate investment in both content and creative ideas, VTV's key events and programs on multiple platforms, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, honoring the heroic military force, worthy of President Ho Chi Minh's praise: "Our army is loyal to the Party, filial to the people, ready to fight and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for socialism. Every mission is completed, every difficulty is overcome, every enemy is defeated". One of the highlights is the political art program "The historical path" jointly organized by the Ministry of National Defense and Vietnam Television, broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. on December 21 on VTV1 channel. The program brings MVs, art performances, scenes, reports, and conversations; thereby depicting the 80-year journey of building, fighting, and growing up of the heroic Army. Participating in the program are artists: People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, Pham Thu Ha, Duc Tuan, Thu Thuy, along with the Army Theater choirs, the Military Band, the symphony orchestra, and thousands of soldiers. On VTV1 channel, Vietnam Television has produced and broadcast a series of documentaries on the military, exploiting many different approaches to portray the image of soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army such as: "Marching under the military flag", "Because they are soldiers" (Army Cinema), "Stay in Phong Chau"... A work that VTV documentary filmmakers devoted a lot of effort to is "Father and Son of Soldiers". Through the memories and stories of military families: families of senior generals, families of generals and military commanders directly on the battlefield, families of Uncle Ho's soldiers at present, typical military families of both the North and the South..., the film sketches a picture of Vietnam's military historical tradition from 1944 to 2024. The story of the "Father and Son Soldier" families is a symbol of a big family - the Vietnamese national family with a heroic tradition of patriotism. Throughout the media campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on VTV is a series of reports in the News bulletins: the sub-section "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the Good Morning program, the column cap "80 years of the Vietnam People's Army" in the 7 p.m. News bulletin, the column cap "Pride of the Vietnam People's Army" in Chuyen Dong 24H. The image of the Vietnam People's Army soldier appears in many programs with its own colors on VTV3 channel. "7 green notes" brings a warm family atmosphere of military families playing and singing together. "Military Zone No. 1" on VTV3 channel is where soldiers show their strength and unique beauty in conquering each round of competition, overcoming each difficult challenge. In both wartime and peacetime, soldiers always stand side by side, share, and care for the lives of the people. Vietnam Television made the documentary "Living in the hearts of the people" in ethnic languages broadcast on VTV5 channel. "Living in the hearts of the people" is the identity and sacred mission of the Vietnam People's Army, affirming that our Army is always steadfast, steadfast, and absolutely loyal to the goal and ideal of fighting and sacrificing for the people. Besides news reports, columns, special topics according to events in Military Region 9, the highlight on VTV Can Tho channel is the cai luong play "Comrade". The work highlights the role models of veterans in the cause of building the homeland, resolutely fighting corruption and negativity, contributing to educating the ideology, ethics and lifestyle of today's young generation about the heroic tradition of our army and people. In order to bring a rich and attractive menu, Vietnam Television has arranged to broadcast the movie "Red Dawn" with the story of the heroic feats and fighting examples of the first female driving platoon on the Truong Son route. After 10 episodes, the TV series "Space of Time" is attracting audiences to follow the stories of two generations of soldiers. Whether in war or peacetime, they have been forged in fierce years to live and fight for the people... Along with the programs on the channels, Vietnam Television is implementing a separate project on the digital platform with the theme "Glory to the heroic Vietnam People's Army" including the series "Heroes of the 20th century". In addition, the drawing contest "I love the soldier" attracted a large number of children to participate. 80 selected paintings will appear with 100 children in the "I love the soldier" section of the program "The historical path".
