On the evening of November 28, the Management Board of Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Projects of Ho Chi Minh City held the inauguration ceremony of the architectural lighting project for a series of conservation works, including Thu Ngu Flagpole, Mong Bridge, City Children's House, Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh City Museum and Ton Duc Thang Museum.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh Dung, Deputy Director of the Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board, said that the project was implemented to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party, while also aiming to create urban beauty at night, honor historical and cultural values and form highlights to attract people and tourists.

The project has a total investment of nearly 50 billion VND from the city budget, implemented in the period 2023-2025. Construction items include a system of decorative LED lights, LED strings and decorative light poles installed at the works. Mong Bridge alone installed 414 LED lights, 200 m of LED strings and 12 decorative poles; City Children's House installed 550 LED lights, 362 m of LED strings and 64 decorative poles; Ho Chi Minh City Museum installed 346 LED lights, 10 m of LED strings and 9 decorative poles.
After the investment policy was approved in September 2023 and the design was approved in March 2025, the project started construction on June 12, 2025 with an estimated construction period of 210 days. However, the items were completed 2 months ahead of schedule, and installation was completed before November 8, 2025 thanks to the efforts of the contractor and the support of related units.
The project is considered a highlight in the urban lighting system development program of Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2020-2030, contributing to creating cultural and entertainment spaces and improving the quality of life for people, while creating more attraction for urban tourism .
