Many exciting activities at the Da Nang New Year Festival 2026

ĐNO - On the afternoon of December 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a press conference to announce the Danang New Year Festival 2026, promising to bring a jubilant, colorful, and multi-experience festival season to serve the people and tourists.

This year, the festival takes place for 5 days from December 30, 2025 to January 3, 2026 with many attractive cultural and entertainment activities.

The highlight is the New Year 2026 check-in model chain (from December 20, 2025 - January 3, 2026) with 4 unique check-in spaces: a brilliant Christmas space with a 20m high pine tree, a New Year's melody space, a colorful Hoi An space, and a golden Da Nang space.

Here, visitors can check-in with the 2025 Christmas scene, traditional lanterns or 3D embossed letters...

The new feature of this year's festival is that the city organizes the "Da Nang - Welcome New Year 2026" Boulevard, taking place over three nights (December 30, 2025 - January 1, 2026) on Bach Dang walking street (Hai Chau ward).

The boulevard space is recreated as a "creative festival axis", where sound, light and art blend to create a bustling atmosphere to welcome the new year.

Along the avenue, three open art spaces are arranged, allowing visitors to freely explore and experience. These are the "New Year Dance" space with youthful nuances with hip-hop, dance sport, zumba, stepdance performances...; "New Year Colors", where visitors can write wishes, experience lanterns, street magic; "New Year Rhythm" opens a connecting music space, gathering Vietnamese and international bands.

The festival also organizes the "Light up the Han River - Run to the future" race, taking place from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on December 31, 2025.

The Da Nang New Year Festival 2026 also has many other cultural and festival activities such as: art performances, culinary space Cheer Fest - Connecting joy; Countdown art program "Shining harmony", "Hoi An - Welcome New Year 2026", Da Nang Concert 2026 "Endless flow".

This year, the festival is held on a large scale, at many locations in the city: East bank park of Dragon Bridge (land on Tran Hung Dao - Ly Nam De street), Bach Dang walking street (Hai Chau ward), An Hoi Sculpture Garden (Hoi An ward), 24/3 Square (Ban Thach ward)...

According to Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, the Da Nang New Year Festival 2026 is an annual city-level cultural, sports and tourism event.

The festival not only brings a vibrant and bustling atmosphere at the moment of transition from the old year to the new year, but also contributes to enhancing the experience of tourists, diversifying tourism products, stimulating demand and attracting tourists to Da Nang.

Thereby, creating momentum for the city's tourism industry to continue to grow strongly in 2026.
