Right in group A, the first "shock" happened when the home team, Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union 2, defeated the championship candidate, the People's Public Security Trade Union, with a score of 2-0. The goals of the team from the city named after Uncle Ho were divided equally in each half.
Although not highly rated, the HCM City 2 Union knew how to take advantage of the opportunities they created. Meanwhile, the strikers of the People's Police Union could not materialize their close-range shots.
