As of November 2025, in Hue City, there are 203 relics and relic clusters that have been ranked by competent authorities; including 03 systems and complexes of special national relics, 96 national relics and 104 city-level relics. In addition, 278 works and locations have been approved and announced by the City People's Committee to be included in the City's Monument Inventory List.
After implementing the 2-level local government model, the People's Committee of Hue City issued a Decision on assigning management of ranked relics. Currently, the city is drafting a Regulation on management, protection and promotion of the value of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in Thua Thien Hue province (now Hue City) to replace Decision No. 82/2021/QD-UBND dated December 31, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee.

In 2025, the city coordinated with the National Museum of History to excavate the Lieu Coc Twin Towers (phase 2); monitored and guided the completion of the excavation dossier of Dai Cung Mon (Hue Imperial Citadel). The city also coordinated to organize the 5th Regional Conference of the Asia- Pacific World Heritage Cities Organization. At the same time, it organized a meeting of the City Council, completed the dossier to propose the Ministry-level Specialized Council to consider awarding the titles of "People's Artisan" and "Meritorious Artisan" in the field of intangible cultural heritage for the fourth time, with 5 dossiers proposing to consider awarding "People's Artisan" and 17 dossiers proposing to consider awarding "Meritorious Artisan".
In addition, the city is implementing the Project "Protecting and promoting the value of Hue Singing Art Heritage to 2030"; building the "Hue Singing Art" dossier to propose UNESCO to recognize it as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The city is also developing the Project "Protecting and promoting the value of the heritage of knowledge of sewing and wearing Hue Ao Dai"; implementing a plan to support non-public museums according to the Resolution on the policy to support the development of non-public museums in Hue city to 2030. At the same time, completing the acceptance of the city-level science and technology project "Research on building a database on the festival system in Thua Thien Hue", and completing many scientific dossiers to nominate heritages to the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
During the year, the locality also successfully organized and coordinated many festivals, art and cinema performances; many fine arts, photography and exhibition activities. In particular, the city coordinated with units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize exchanges, compositions and photo exhibitions within the framework of the 3rd "Vietnam International Photography Festival"; participated in the First Month event with the theme "Vietnamese Culture and Creativity" at the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 in Japan, focusing on promoting the image of Hue and introducing the National Tourism Year Hue 2025.

Regarding cultural industry, Hue continues to implement many programs and projects to gradually turn heritage into assets, contributing to promoting the local socio-economy. The city successfully organized the Hue Community Ao Dai Week; formed a number of new artistic products with strong creative imprints such as: "Hue Symphony", "The East Concert", "Hue Mega Booming"... Currently, the city is building a plan to create a profile "Hue - Creative City of Cuisine" to nominate to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
In the field of sports, the city has achieved many results in sports for all, high-performance sports and professional sports, as well as in training, fostering and coaching human resources. Up to now, the city's athletes participating in regional, national and international sports competitions have won more than 709 medals of all kinds, including 57 international medals.
Regarding tourism, in the first 11 months of 2025, the number of visitors to Hue is estimated at 5.8 million, up 65.3% over the same period last year; of which international visitors are estimated at 1.7 million, up 40.9%. Overnight visitors are estimated at 2.2 million, up 19.1%. Tourism revenue is estimated at nearly VND 11,747.9 billion, up 62.7% over the same period.

It is estimated that in 2025, the number of visitors to Hue will reach about 6.3 million, an increase of 61.5% over the same period; of which international visitors are estimated at 1.9 million, an increase of 40.6%. Tourism revenue is estimated at more than 13,000 billion VND, an increase of 64.4%.
2025 is also a year that marks many events in Hue when the city successfully organized a series of activities within the framework of the Hue National Tourism Year 2025; participated in the Vietnam Tourism, Cuisine and Craft Village Week in France, Italy, Switzerland; participated in the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Program in Poland, Czech Republic and Germany according to the plan of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration. Currently, the city is actively preparing to organize the Closing Ceremony of the Hue National Tourism Year 2025.
